We’ve said it here on TeamBuildNYC in the past that an investment in team building is one of the best, if not the best, investments that a company can make, and now Forbes has jumped on board, laying out ground rules to ensure that you pick a team building event that’s going to ensure your employees have an awesome time.
According to Forbes, the benefits of company team building are many. It improves collaboration, communication, and trust among employees. It teaches your team how to handle situations where heads may butt and it will likely leave you with employees who are happier and more engaged.
Without further ado, we present Forbes’ list of corporate team building ground rules:
1) Don’t force the corporate stuff. The best team building events don’t necessarily feel like team building events.
2) Ditch the company picnic. Try something new and unexpected instead.
3) Keep that positive energy going at the office. Don’t let things go back to normal around the workplace once the team building activities are over.
What do you think of the list? Any team building ground rules you’d like to add? Let us know in the comments!
